The Carp-in-4-Cancer 2008 saw 25 teams competing at Yateley, Sandhurst, Berkshire. Winners
this year were Kev Parkes and Rob Plain
May Bank holiday saw us arriving very early at Cemex's Sandhurst gates, this
year 23 teams braved the cool days and nights to do battle with the carp. What
happened next was what dreams are made of, loads of fish came to the nets of the
anglers and with 7 of those fish being over 30lb each it couldn't have made a
better place to be, elated anglers, personal bests smashed and prizes galore we
could only do one more thing, break last year's total raised, we did, and by
over 2000 pound, all in all this one single weekend raised over £6000 , not bad
for a weekend of fun and fish, off we went to think of where to do it next
year....
